Preparing to leap 10,000 feet for Red Balloon Reading!
Taking fundraising to the max are Yell employees Andrea Seward, Customer Service Manager, and Mandy Withers, Senior Customer Services Executive who are preparing to do their first (ever!) tandem skydive to raise money for Red Balloon Reading. The pair will jump 10,000 feet above the earth on Saturday 4 August and are aiming to raise at least £1,000.
Despite both being scared of heights, Andrea and Mandy have booked their jump and will do the nerve-wracking charity tandem jump at Swindon Airfield.
Andrea and Mandy both said: "Sometimes you just have to face your fears - and the fear of heights is a huge one for us to face! We are raising money for one of Yell's main charities and a real worthy cause to support severely bullied children in Reading and around the Country."
Andrea and Mandy each have a JustGiving page. You can support their charity tandem skydive by donating here for Andrea and here for Mandy.
Yell people have been fundraising for Red Balloon Reading since 2010. In that time we have raised more than £15,000, which has funded the recent refurbishment of the learner centre and will contribute towards the centre's ongoing running costs.
