A wizard in our midst...

Our very own Charlotte Goodall (one of RBAir’s incredibly multi-skilled teachers and expert in all things Japanese, History, Citizenship, and PSHE) is training to become a Google Wizard! (Official title ‘Google Apps for Education Certified Trainer’- although this sounds marginally less ‘mystical’.) This journey to the heights of Hogwarts involves six hour-long online exams where she’ll have to demonstrate competence in sites, email, docs, admin, calendars and other Google tools.

Red Balloon of the Air uses a Google domain as its primary 'home'. From here, lessons springboard off in the direction of text or voice chats, docs, sites and outside of Google, avatars communicating in our very own virtual world.

Once initially qualified, Charlotte will be able to work towards the next level of certification which will enable her to share her wisdom throughout the Red Balloon organisation, training other staff in the vast array of applications within Google Education’s capabilities. This is a prestigious accreditation and requires ‘enthusiasm and passion for the role of technology in education’, which Charlotte certainly has. We wish her all the best in her efforts towards this respected title.
