Carol of the Magi
Carol of the Magi was premiered after that in Newcastle-on-Tyne by the choir of Newcastle Royal Grammar School, then at Liverpool Anglican Catherdal, next at Great St Mary's in Cambridge by the Perse Choirs, then at St Mary's Church in Harrow, and finally in St Peter Mancroft in Norwich.
The words of the carol include the following, so apt for Red Balloon:
We entered in and there we saw him
It seemd we'd know him from long before
A child like any child yet somehow diff'rent
The face of ev'ry child in him we saw.
…………
So long ago yet I remember
That child who lay at Mary's knee
How strange that ev'ry child seems so much like him
His is the face I seem to see……
